Better gas mileage will help protect us from oil supply disruptions.

With America increasingly dependent on oil from politically unstable regions of the world, security experts are urging a major improvement in the gas mileage of the U.S. auto fleet. Achieving that goal, including improved performance for SUVs and trucks, can significantly reduce our vulnerability to oil supply disruptions.
